This hummus is as healthy as it is beautiful. The bright pigments in beets have powerful anti-inflammatory and disease-fighting properties, and this is an easy & yummy way to sneak in beets into your eating pattern!
- 1 can chickpeas (drained & rinsed)
- 1–2 medium beets, chopped
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 TBSP olive oil or avocado oil (+ more for serving)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1 lemon, juiced
- dash of black pepper
- dash of turmeric
- sprinkle of black sesame seeds, for serving
Blend all ingredients in a high-powered food processor until smooth and creamy. Top off with extra olive oil and black sesame seeds if desired!
